THAR-TOY6 has A and B taped over ends

0 votes
Hi, the TOY6 harness has A and B taped over the white 30 pin connector ends. These connectors are the same size/fit. Should only one option (A or B) be connected or both. If only one option needs connecting, what is the difference between the two. I can see the hard wiring guides but noguide for the harness fitting.

Using EVO ALL as a remote start on a Toyota Landcruiser Prado/150 Euro.

Thanks

Some cars require connector A, some cars require connector B. Never both. Normally the installation guide would point to which connector needs to used. I do not have an installation guide for that car since we do not have it in North America.  On the North American Land Cruiser, it is the B connector that is used.

Hi Robb,

Got the Evo All working with the TOY6 harness and RF642 remotes. Confirm the B connector is used on Japan/GulfCountriesGCC/Middle East Land cruiser 150 Prado also. The 4Runner 2020 guide 90721 had similarities, ECU same place and style. Steering lock connector same.

The pink wire for Telematics on the 56pin white connector didnt exist though (empty slot), and I didnt need to cut the yellow/red or yellow/green wire D1 and D3 on the harness. Any issues there ?

Everything seems to be working well, starts on OEM and RF remotes, shuts off with door open as expected. If you need any pictures let me know.
If the telematics was needed, the remote starter would stop working completely after 15-20 minutes :)

Thanks for the update!
