P0830 code came up after weeks of nstallation (EVO ONE with manual transmission bypass 2017 Wrangler)

After installation of 5 pin relay and successful remote start, the check engine light came up randomly....so far two times. What can be wrong?

Seeing that code is for the following: P-0830 - Clutch pedal switch- General electrical failure.

 

Something isn't right with your clutch bypass wiring. 

 

When Monitored and Set Conditions

When Monitored: This diagnostic runs continuously when the following conditions are met:

• While driving and shifting gears.

Set Conditions:

• The Radio Frequency Hub (RF Hub) does not detect changes in the Clutch Interlock Signal circuit voltage while CAN messages from the Transmission Control Module indicate transmission gear changes.

Default Actions:

• When this DTC sets active, the driver shall remain deactivated until the next ignition OFF/ON cycle.

Possible causes:

- Clutch interlock signal circuit shorted to voltage

- Clutch interlock signal circuit shorted to ground

- Clutch interlock signal circuit open or high resisitance
