Can Evo-One be used to bypass the need for key fob

0 votes
I leave my car at a train station and don't want to carry a key with me. I know i can use an Evo-One with a telematics unit to lock/unlock my car with my smartphone, but my car is a push to start so I can't leave the fob in the car and lock it. Someone could just push the button on the door handle to unlock it if I did.

How can i use the Evo-One as a key fob replacement?

No, this is not recomended. Most smart key vehicle will not allow you to lock the car when it detects the key inside anyways.

Right. But I am looking to use my smartphone as a smartkey. I prefer to not use the oem key at all.

Can the Evo-One be used to bypass the ignition lock so the car can be used without a key fob?
No it cannot.
Well, I have to disagree with the point of not locking the intelligent key within the vehicle. It's happened to me 2X in my 2010 Altima PTS. Never did this before I installed the Evo-All  as a stand alone RS, which works fine otherwise..  What setting/option will prevent this from happening a 3rd time. No luck searching for the answer...
