blue led shuts off after pushing start button twice on 2013 camry hybrid

Question

I checked the canbus wiring and I have good continuity, and connected to the correct pins 6 and 14, but it still shuts off when I push the start button twice during programing.

Blue LED turning off means the EVO is not detecting the Can-Bus. They may be on the right pins, but they may be reversed.

 

After verifiying that they are not reversed, you should do a master reset on the EVO. Here is the procedure:

 

1. Hold down programming button while plugging in datalink connector.
2. Let go of button when LED is RED.
3. Push and hold button again until all three LEDs start to alternate.
4. Disconnect unit, she is now reset.
