2013 Focus doesn't shut off automatically after remote start

Hi,

My 2013 remote-starts fine, but never shuts off automatically after remote-starting. The car would run itself out of gas if I didn't manually shut it off by doing the 3X-lock-button press on the remote. As far as I can gather the max amount of time that the EVO-ALL is supposed to allow the engine to run after remote-starting is 15 minutes for a gas-engine car. Does anyone know what can cause this behavior in the unit?

Question, after remote starting the car using 3xlock, and then pressing on the brake on the brake, does the vehicle shut off? If not, what do the leds do on the unit?

Yes, the car does shut off when the brake is pressed after doing a remote start and the key is still out of the ignition. The only thing that I can tell right now that it's doing wrong is not shutting off the car automatically....it will run for hours after remote-starting(found this out by getting sidetracked after doing a remote start....my neighbor actually came to the door & told me the car was running in the driveway...lol....it was 2 to 3 hours later).
Is it possible to be remote start it, wait the 15 minutes, then tell me which LEDs are on on the unit?

If there was an issue with the firmware/timer, ALL cars would be showing this odd issue at the moment.
I have a 2012 fusion and it does the same once started it will run until you shut it down..
