2011 subaru outback vechicle strter acting up when car starts

i have installed an autostart, with an evoall in a 2011 subaru outback, evrything works fine except 4 out of 5 times when vehicle is started up by remote starter the vehicle starter seems like it wants to drag or attempt to restart.

Does the vehicle stumble as it is remote starting? almost as if the engine is going to stall while it cranks then finishes by starting?

I had the same problem with autostart starter   I have been trouble shooting for hours and I found a way to fix that problem  you have to set the remote stater in diesel mode it give time to the bypass to send information to the car so it will work correctly

Just out of curiosity is this a valid work around for the issue? Is there any negative effects to setting your car to diesel mode? Thanks !
