Ground while running not needed with Evo-All and THAR-GMv2...?

2013 Chevy Cruze with flip key.  Just curious how/why the (-) ground while running input is not needed in data-link installation with remote start, but is needed in many other installs where data-link is used.

Just an inquiring installer mind.

Remote starters always offer the (-)ground-when-running when using datalink through the actual datalink connection. So really, the wire-to-wire connection is not required. Most installers always hook it up anyway, even if using datalink.
