Hi. What exactly do I set the EVO-All protocol to d2d with a compustar cm6200? Will it have that option when I flash it? first time DIYer here. Thanks.

There are 3 languages for datalink that the EVO-ALL can do.

  1. Fortin
  2. AP/OFA datalink (also called ADS)
  3. D2D

To change the datalink protocol you need to go in the EVO-ALL Options menu after updating the EVO-ALL with the Flash-Link.

After, you will want to set your Compustar accordingly to what you set in the EVO. Go into the remote starter programming options to change the datalink protocol.

By factory the EVO comes with Fortin protocol; the Compustar i believe comes with AP/OFA (ADS). Either change the EVO protocol to AP/OFA or change the Compustar to Fortin.

Thank you Robert for your prompt response. I will go with the Evo set to ADS since it will be more practical route for me... And so when both Evo and Compustar are hooked up and ready to go, do I program first the bypass to learn the car before the remote transmitters to match the remote? Or vice-versa? Hope I'm making sense. Looking forward to your valuable input(s) as I'd like this first time install to be both fun and worthwhile. Thanks again in advanced!
