Hi douglas,

The sequence the LEDs flash at the first step of programming when holding down the programm button and releasing while plugging in the 4-pin black connector will alternate continuisly between all three LEDs non stop until you release it on. The order in which they alternate id not important.

Step 2 of programming tells you to release the programming button when the LEDs are RED and BLUE turned on.

The first 4 steps of the programming procedure can be done with only the 4 pin black connector connected since you are basically telling the EVO to set itself up for Toyota.

The rest of the programming relies on the Ignition, Immo Data, Can-Hi and Can-Low connections to the EVO-ALL. The EVO-ALL firmware should also be updated to the latest Toyota firmware.

So i can get it to flash red and blue now at the same time after performing the update. Now when i go to the next step which is to press the program button twice and te lights should flash but nothing happens they stay on solid
That step can be done right after releasing on the blue and red LEDs. Connect the remaining connectors aftewards.
Installing in a 2010 rav4 (g key) I am having the same issue. Red and blue leds on. Press the program button twice, the lights should flash but they stay solid. Was this issue ever resolved?
What's the service number on your module ? The module needs to be flash to the recommended version.

If the module is left to 4.18 default firmware, it will not work.
that's only mode selection. If the LEDs do not react when pressing the programming button 2 times, the evo-all is not updated to the appropriate firmware. What is the 12-digit service number on the unit? The minimum firmware as listed in the guide is 79.25.
Mathieu and Robert, both of you are correct. just ordered flash update tool and will update firmware. confident this will resolve issue. thank-you for your comments
