2015 VW Golf Evo-One Manual Trans, TB-VW THAR-VW6, No Start, Ready Mode Error

0 votes
I have a 2015 VW Golf.

Installed and programmed Evo-One with TB-VW, and THAR-VW6.

I run the car, and am able to enter ready mode by pressing brake, pulling handbrake, then releasing brake, and pressing start on the fob.  The car responds, and I am able to remove they key.  I get out and close the door, and the car seems to go into ready mode giving one flash of the parking lights.

When I send the remote start command with the fob, the car starts the procedure and then gives me 3 flashes before even trying to crank.

Is it possible there are any settings in the evo-one that may be causing the vehicle to lose ready mode before it starts.

Thanks

Is this your module? 002B04211217

All options and setup look ok.

Is the PINK E5 wire receiving ignition with the key on?

Did you add a hood switch ?

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I do not add a hood pin installed as the A15 pink/black wire is connected via the THAR-VW6, and that wiring guide doesnt show a hood pin installed. A11 is currently turned off.

E5 is receiving voltage with the key on.

I also tested E1, and it received voltage on takeover when I remove the key, and sends voltage when trying to start.

The car doesn't crank when trying to remote start.
Also forgot to mention yes that is the module installed in the car.
I just found another post indicating if A11 is off it will ignore the hood status on CAN-BUS.  I tried the system with it set to on, as I thought perhaps the THAR-VW6 was using the CAN-BUS, but unfortunately it still did not start.

I did notice when going through the start sequence I get a ligting error on the dash about the time I would expect the system to crank.  Not sure if that has anything to do with the issue or if it is expected behaviour.
Just wanted to advise I reflashed the evo-one and reprogrammed it.  The remote start now functions.  Not sure what caused the issue earlier.
