Do I have to cut TPMS wire in 2018 Tundra? T-Harness

0 votes
2018 Toyota Tundra, H-Key. I bought the Evo-One and T-Harness. I see in the instructions i need to cut the TPMS wire. Is this actually needed. I've ran into fortin installs where the directions and actual install were totally different. What else should i be aware of for this install?

TPMS interupt is so that the factory remote remains functional while the vehicle is remote started.

If you are using an after market remote and will not be using the oem remote this interupt is not needed.

Does the kit require i install the hood pin? I used to do fortin installs and they didn't require the flashlink updater but did require the hood pin.
if the vehicle is equipped with a factory hood pin and it is listed as a supported feature then no you dont need to connect it. Otherwise yes you would.

Side note, fortin modules do require a flash link updater in order to flash and configure them for the vehicle they are being installed into. Fortin does not pre flash units for vehicles.
