EVO-MAZT1 and RF Kit

+2 votes
I am buying the EVO-MAZT1 for my Mazda CX5. I would like to get an affordable RF kit that works with the EVO-MAZT1. Would any of the Omega kits work, or would it have to be one of the Fortin kits? Thank you

Hello,

Yes the omegalink kits can work. You need to be absolutly sure though that they have the update to be compatible with evo-all. The box wil have a sticker on it stating "now compatible with evo-all". You will also need the RFA2A adapter to be able to plug in the RF kit.

Also, please be aware:

- the evo-mazt1 is one of the most complicated solutions offered by Fortin and should only be attempted by qualified technicians.

- 2 keys are required for programming.

- Programming consists of over 30 steps and if you do not follow it exactly then you may render the module inoperative for that specific vehicle.

- Do not programming more than 3 modules as stated in the installation guide or you will render the car inoperative and a trip to the dealer will be required.

Just as a suggestion, if you are an end consumer that has never done this before I would go with the evo-one and thar-one-MAZ3 solution.

-This solution only requires 1 key for programming.

-Only involves about 7 steps of programming and is very simple and basic to install.

- You will also get take over, meaning the vehicle wil not shut down when you open the door unlike with the maz1 solution wich will shut down when the door is opened.

Best regards.
